Characteristics: Bushy upright shrub with dark green leaves give a brilliant display of red in fall, heavy crop of sweet juicy berries ripen early in the season, and in mild climates can produce a smaller second crop later in season, similarly to other blueberries 'Sweetheart' requires acidic soil (4.5-5.5 pH), not recommended for landscape growing unless soil has been heavily amended and acidified, recommended for container gardens.
