An annual or tender perennial USDA hardiness zones 8a-11 (lows -12.2 ?C or 10 ?F)This milkweed has no taproot so it's not an invasive spreader underground. It is one of the most attractive milkweed varieties. The one issue that Tropical Milkweed has are aphids. Lots and lots of aphids. Aphid control on outdoor plants may be as simple as spraying the plants with a burst of water from the hose which will dislodge the aphids. Lady bugs will love you as they love aphids.
