This Heavenly Bamboo is the smaller version of Nandina domestica, and it produces more numerous leaflets giving it a lacey appearance. Blooms in the spring and produces a new flush of growth that is coppery in color. Foliage turns green in summer. In the fall 'Compacta' produces a show of red berries and the foliage turns a reddish purple color. Very popular, and hardy landscaping choice. Evergreen.
