Characteristics: Fantastic foliage for 3 seasons, in spring new foliage emerges in colors ranging from purple to red, as leaves mature gorgeous shades or orange, yellow and green appear, in autumn leaves change highlighting yellows, red, oranges, and purples, additionally the leaves have a lovely textured edge that adds to their ornamental value, white flowers with pale yellow centers appear in late spring and are followed by small red fruits, exfoliating bark that peels in strips to reveal layers of reddish to light brown, drought tolerant when established, prune in late winter/early spring to shape
