Characteristics: Delicious sweet berries and highly ornamental foliage make this a one of a kind blueberry, the foliage emerges deep wine red, as the weather warms the leaves become a mottled red and green and finally ending with a fiery brilliant display in the fall, berries ripen relatively early, not recommended for landscape growing unless the soil has been heavily amended, as with all blueberries 'Cabernet Splash' requires acidic soil (4.5-5.5 pH), recommended for container growing.
